May 2017: Our MS student Mr. Yusef Esa defended his thesis entitled “A Hybrid State/Event Drive Communication-based Control for DC Microgrids.”
April 2017: Our MS researcher Mr. Yusef Esa has received the IEEE Industry Applications Society Best MS Thesis Award for his technical contributions to Microgrid Design and Control.
April 2017: Our PhD researcher Mr. Mahmoud Saleh has received the IEEE James O. Gray Graduate Level Scholarship for his technical contributions to electrical power grid control, instrumentation & monitoring.
April 2017: Mr. Mahmoud Saleh and Mr. Yusef Esa presented our paper entitled “Centralized Control for DC Microgrid Using Finite State Machine” at the 2017 IEEE Innovative Smart Grid Technologies Conference (ISGT), Washington D.C. Metro Area.
Nov. 2016: Prof. Mohamed serves as a session chair and a member of the Best Paper Award Selection Committee at the 2017 IEEE Conference on Electromagnetic Field Computation (IEEE CEFC), Miami, Florida.
