Oct. 2015: Our paper entitled “Impact of clustering microgrids on their stability and resilience during blackouts” has been accepted for publication at the 2015 International Conference on Smart Grid and Clean Energy Technologies (ICSGCE), Offenburg, Germany.
Aug. 2015: Ms. Mahdiyeh Khodaparastan joins our research group as a PhD student.

May 2015: Our MS student Mr. Md Islam has defended his thesis entitled “The Proposal for Implementation of Controlled Power Rectifier (3000/4000KW) in MTA New York City Transit (MTA-NYCT) Traction Power System.”
May 2015: Our MS student Mr. Ammar Althaibani has defended his thesis entitled “Stability and Resilience of Interconnected Microgrids.”
April 2015: Prof. Mohamed delivers an invited talk at New York University Tandon School of Engineering entitled “Control of Islanded Microgrids Encountering Heavy Non-linear Loads.”
March 2015: Prof. Mohamed publishes a chapter entitled “Real-Time Hierarchial Control for DC Microgrids” in the book entitled “Energy Management of Distributed Generation.”
Feb. 2015: A student team mentored by Prof. Mohamed won an international entrapreneaurship prize at the United Nations. This team also competed in the Zahn Innovation Center. More details can be found through the following link:
